Our Social Responsibility & Sustainable Production
At Bubble Production, our mission goes beyond delivering world-class live streaming and event production — it’s about creating meaningful impact. From pioneering sustainable livestreaming that reduces carbon footprints, to honouring our strong ties with the Armed Forces community, to mentoring the next generation of broadcast and creative talent, everything we do is driven by purpose. Our commitment to environmental responsibility, community support, and skills development is woven into every project, ensuring our work benefits not only our clients but the wider world around us.
Sustainability
Our Sustainable Approach to Live Production
We take sustainability seriously and consistently look for ways to reduce our environmental impact across all areas of broadcast, live streaming and event production. Wherever possible, we adapt our workflows to minimise travel, reduce waste and make smarter use of digital processes.
This includes remote contributions, cloud-based delivery where appropriate, efficient routing of crew and equipment, and encouraging clients to adopt low-impact solutions. Our approach ensures that high-quality production doesn’t come at the expense of environmental responsibility.
Turning Livestreams Into Measurable Climate Action- Case study - Hay Festival
At this year’s Hay Literature Festival, something remarkable took place behind the scenes — and it happens across all of our live broadcasts.
While thousands enjoyed talks and performances in person, many more watched online. And while they watched, we tracked something crucial: the environmental impact of digital audiences.
Using our custom-built CO₂e Savings Calculator, we measure the carbon emissions avoided when viewers choose to stream instead of travel to the event.
On a typical festival day, the numbers speak for themselves:
1,354 online viewers
166 global locations
542 tonnes of CO₂e saved — simply by watching remotely
That’s equivalent to:
Taking 115 cars off the road for a full year, or
The amount of carbon absorbed by 9,000 trees in 12 months
Our system calculates savings based on:
Common travel methods (planes, trains, taxis, and cars)
Energy consumption for streaming at both data centre and viewer level
Our own power usage — which we minimise through renewable energy and green battery banks
The result is a clear, measurable net CO₂e reduction, giving event organisers reliable data for ESG reporting and sustainability strategies.
For clients, this means:
Tangible environmental impact metrics
Powerful sustainability stories for sponsors and stakeholders
The ability to track, improve, and communicate carbon savings over time
In short: livestreaming doesn’t just expand reach — it reduces carbon footprint in a measurable, meaningful way.
If you’re running events and want insight into the environmental benefits of digital audiences, we’d be delighted to show you the difference livestreaming can make.

Corporate Covenant
Supporting the Armed Forces and Honouring National Heritage
Supporting the Armed Forces and Honouring National Heritage
Bubble Production is proud to work with some of the UK’s most respected military charities and Armed Forces organisations, including ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, SSAFA, and the Western Front Association.
Every year, we are honoured to be entrusted with delivering the live broadcast of the Armistice Day Parade from Whitehall, ensuring this important national moment is shared with audiences across the country.
Our relationship with the Armed Forces is long-standing. As early signatories of the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant in 2011, we have consistently demonstrated our commitment to those who serve. For over three decades, we have collaborated with ex-forces personnel across a range of broadcast and production projects.
We have also had the privilege of working alongside Landmarc, producing compelling visual stories that showcase the history, resilience, and lived experiences of military communities across the UK.
Our dedication to the Armed Forces is more than a partnership — it’s a core part of who we are.
Investing in People
Supporting Skills, Training & Industry Development
People are at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to training, mentoring and developing talent within the live production and broadcast industry. By offering hands-on experience, work placements and opportunities to learn from our experienced team, we help build the next generation of production professionals.
We regularly support young creatives, students and freelancers, ensuring they gain confidence, practical knowledge and real-world industry insight. Investing in people strengthens our team, our industry and the quality of the productions we deliver.
Training and Inspiring the Next Generation of Creative Talent
Over the past five years, we’ve trained, mentored, and supported more than 50 students, offering unique access to real-world experience through strong partnerships with USW Cardiff, the University of Gloucestershire, and Aberystwyth University.
Students join us at major UK events — including the Cheltenham Literature Festival and the Hay Festival — where they work alongside our professional crews and experience the pace, creativity, and collaboration of live production.
Through hands-on training, masterclasses, and tailored mentoring, students leave with:
Practical industry skills
Professional confidence
First-hand broadcast and livestreaming experience
A clearer pathway into the creative sector
Several students have gone on to start their careers in the industry, with some joining our team in junior production roles.
Supporting emerging talent is more than an initiative — it’s part of Bubble Production’s wider mission to shape the future of live events and broadcast media.
